Roots of Capoeira music
The martial arts are known as being the traditional Brazilian Martial Art but the roots are originating from the slaves of Brazil that came from Angola so the percussion have some influences from the African cultures. The slaves invented this martial art by combining dance with acrobatics. After the slavery ended in 1888 the Capoeira was prohibited in Brazil for 52 years and was legalized in 1940. Today this is one of the main Brazil attractions for tourists from all over the world.
